Downtown Evansville’s historic Main Street and neighboring side streets provide the perfect backdrop for the ever popular cruise-ins. Hundreds of classic and specialty cars will line the streets from 4:00pm-10:00pm. Attendees will be blown away by all the treasures to be found in Downtown Evansville including antique shops and specialty stores as well as unique restaurants, the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville and the Bower-Suhrheinrich Foundation Gallery.

Now in its 22nd year, the Downtown Holiday Parade has become a community tradition for ringing in the holidays! Thousands will gather to watch the parade filled with beautiful floats, marching bands, clowns, dancing troops and more. The day’s festivities include the lighting of the official City Christmas Tree and the highly-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus. Pre-parade activites at Santa’s Workshop in the park at 4th and Main will include photos with Santa, arts and crafts for kids and live entertainment. This event is FREE!

Christmas Tree Submission: Once again this year the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE) is seeking nominations for the ideal tree to serve as the focal point Downtown during the 2010 holiday season. Christmas tree nominations should include a photo of the tree, along with the name and contact information for the person submitting the nomination.
